Trump Spox Provides Statement About His Health After Shooting

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign stated on Saturday that he was “fine” and being checked at a local medical facility after an apparent shooting at a political rally.

Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said that Trump was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.”

Cheung added that Trump “thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act.”

As Trump addressed a sizable gathering of fans in Pennsylvania, what appeared to be gunshots broke out, leaving blood on the side of his face. He stood up, raised his fist, and yelled at the audience to “fight” as the Secret Service hurried him from the platform.

“An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania,” the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement. “The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”

As Trump displayed a chart with the number of border crossings, loud bangs echoed across the assembly. Trump was spotted reaching toward his neck with his right hand.

His face seemed to be covered with blood. Screams from the audience arose as agents from his protective detail rushed the stage, and he hastily ducked behind the riser. While the agents attended to him on stage, the booms went on.

His entourage has departed the location. His condition was unknown at first.
